The ARV Point System The ARV point systems provides recognition for the top winning dogs, their get and their breeders. The point system encourages the betterment of the breed through recognition of conformation and working characteristics. Points are calculated per calandar year. This information is accurate to the best of the author's ability. Precise record keeping at the club level is critical to the point program. Dogs receive points as listed below:

The winner of the ARV National Schutzhund trial with a qualifying score of 270 or above shall receive an additional 30 points. Those dogs who compete in an ARV National Schutzhund competition with a score of greater than 270 shall receive an additional 20 points. Those dogs who participate in an ARV National Schutzhud trial with a passing score of at least 270 shall receive and additional 10 points. Those dogs who compete in an ARV Regional Schutzhund competition with a passing score shall receive an additional 5 points.
