Championship Points:
Championship points are also awarded to winning
conformation dogs; after a dog has been awarded five
Championship points, the dog is certified as an "ARV
Champion," providing special recognition as well as
entry into the Sieger class when the dog has attained at
least a ZTP or a Schutzhund I title.
ARV Championship Certificate Requirements
-
A dog must be awarded ARV
Certificates (ARVC’s) at five (5) different shows under four (4)
different judges.
-
Three (3) of the
Certificates may be earned at regular Sieger shows and two (2)
of the Certificates must be earned at a Regional or National
Show.
-
The Certificates are to be
awarded at the judge’s discretion.
-
All dogs awarded
certificates must be “V” rated at that show, with the exception
that dogs from the 12-24 month classes who receive a rating of
SG-1 may be awarded a certificate.
-
Dogs eligible for the award
of a Reserve Championship point are the dogs which placed second
after the dogs awarded a Championship point at that show. For
example, if the Gebrauchshund class dog is awarded Championship
points, then the second place Gebrauchshund class dog is
eligible for the Reserve Championship points at the judge’s
discretion. No other second place dogs would be eligible for
the Reserve Championship points.
-
There must be at least 50 dogs at a show for a judge to award
one (1) male and one (1) female certificate, and one (1) male
and one (1 female
Reserve Championship point shall be awarded at each show.
-
When a dog receives five (5) ARVC’s, the certificate must be
submitted to the ARV Business Administrator. The dog will then
be awarded an ARV Championship Certificate. Of the 5 points, 3
have to be Majors and 2 can come from Reserve points.
-
Once a dog has received its ARV Championship Certificate it can
enter the Champion class.
-
Once a dog has received its ARV Championship Certificate and has
an ARV ZtP or a VDH SchH Title, it is eligible to enter the
Sieger Class.
-
An ARV Championship Certificate will be worth two points on a
judge’s scoring card.
